Monday May 5th 2008 Holy CRAP does Coppertop RULE!!! The boys stayed in town this weekend and apparently the lack of travel paid off because I have never seen the guys with more energy! Man Coppertop was just freaking off the chain! Heather and her friends were there, and that certianly helped. So did the Pucker girls. All in all it was like the planets aligned or something cause that place was simply outta control and the boys ate it up! Huge thanks to Amanda for having us there. The guys even played Amanda from Boston just for her. I think they sounded a little better than Boston but some would probably say I am biased. ;) Next up - the fellas are off to Dwight. Apparently the town has been pretty lame, and the Mayor decided it was time to kick it up a notch. He made the right choice. -web dude out Tuesday April 29th 2008 Shaker's was SHAKIN!! Hey kiddos. We took the party to Shakers, and well... What can ya say? The place was SHAKIN! It lived up to it's name twice times! Next up - Coppertop and it's Heather's birthday so ya'll better show!! -web dude out Sunday April 20th 2008 HELL YEAH!!!! Kam's can I get a hell yeah?? HELL YEAH!!!! The kids at Kam's were in what would be considered rare form anywhere else. But at Kam's…Yeah just another night. We feel privileged to be asked back to Kam's time after time, and look forward to many more nights like last night. The place it just plain insane. Words fail to describe. No point. If you didn't show, your bad. If you were there you know it was monumental. 'Nuff said. Evidence will be posted in picture and video form soon enough. Next up - the fellas head to Ottawa to bring their brand of debauchery to Shakers. Oh, it is on now! Happy 4/20 everyone!! -web dude out Friday April 11th 2008 Think you got game??? Then ya best show up at Kam's on April 19th. Not only are the boys bringing it back to the UofI campus (because the kids DEMANDED WE RETURN!!), but there is also a playoff round for the $50,000 RPS title to be determined in Vegas. Yeah, that's right. Vegas baby. Think this is a joke?? Think it is a waste of time??? Think AGAIN SUKKA!!! Sponsored by Bud Light and aired on ESPN this is the big time, the real deal, the whole kit and kabootle!!!! IF ya think you got what it takes, be there and be ready!! Here is some interesting trivia about RPS. Enjoy, and we will see you there!!! Jan-ken-pon, Rochambeau, Roshambo, Rock-Paper-Scissors... Call it what YOU will but in France and the United States, in particular, the game is often referred to as Rochambeau (ro-sham-bo) in honor of Jean-Baptiste Donatien de Vimeur, compte de Rochambeau, French hero of American Revolution. Rochambeau was present in York when General Cornwallis surrendered to George Washington. It is believed that Washington, Cornwallis and Rochambeau played RPS to decide who would be the last to leave Cornwallis' tent after the exchange of formalities. At the time, it was considered most honorable to be last. Rochambeau "won" the RPS game and the game has been known as "Rochambeau" ever since. -web dude out Sunday February 24th 2008 Aint no party like a Jury's Out party-cause a Jury's Out party don't stop.... Was Fat Jack's really pushing the envelope of time, sound, and space with the oft heard anthem of the 80' and 90s? Was the building really on the verge of collapse with the screaming of hundreds of Jurors craving for more and more of the 100% pure rock fury that only the boys of Jury's Out can offer? Well, if you were there you already know. And if you were not there… Sucks to be you. You will have your chance to redeem yourself and save your family lineage from an eternity of blandness at Lake Road Inn on Saturday the 1st. Be there or be ordinary. -web dude out Sunday February 17th 2008 WWhooah, we're half way there.... Web dude here... Call it the chorus heard 'round the world. Our 50,000 watts of power had no chance at keeping up with the rockers at Claytons Tap singing along to the power ballad by Bon Jovi. The fellas in Jury's Out had the time of their lives last night! The gig went so well they drug me out of bed at 6:00 am this morning (thanks guys) to get this update on the site so Clayton's would know how much fun they had. So.. Thanks Clayton's Tap!! Now, before I get back to bed, I need to mention that this Saturday the guys are staying in town. They are staying so they can unleash the rock on the infamous Fat Jack's! The party starts at 10:00. I suggest getting there early if you want to get in the door. -the Web dude Tuesday February 12th 2008 Exit 197.... You ROCK! Web dude here... The fellas are still on cloud 9 after rockin out with the fine folks at Exit 197 in Pontiac. They are telling me that it is one of the nicest places around! Awesome dance floor, Awesomer staff and Awesomerist customers!!!.. Many thanks to Allie for..well... Just being you. You know what we mean! :) .I guess next time I am going to have to go along to see what all the fuss is about!! But this weekend it looks like the boys are tearin up Claytons Tap in Morris again. Be there or be bored. -the Web dude Monday January 21st 2008 Beeeeeeeeeeeeep This has been a test. This has only been a test of the Jury's Out rockability system ( is that a word??? IT IS NOW. : ) So you are asking yourself… What is that all about? Let your pal the web dude tell ya!. You see the fellas and I had to develop a system.. a litmus test of sorts.. The boys had a tendency of showing up for a gig and leaving too many injured and wounded patrons in their wake. So we came up with a winner of an idea… So here's how the plan unfolded…. At Kam's on Sunday night they put the plan into action. During setup, as seems to happen too often, the joint couldn't handle the wattage, the voltage, the ampage, the rockage that Jury's Out brings and they brought down half of the bar. Pure power outage and ownage. During the power outage the boys triggered a mock "fire alarm" Imagine ten minutes of sheer pain. 200 decibels of high pitched screeching. The fellas scrambled around pretending to fix the source of the alarm. Finally after the unworthy split, the boys shut it off knowing that the hundreds that remained were truly ready and truly worthy for the 100% pure rock fury that is Jury's Out… They were half right. They hit the stage with such intensity thinking it was finally safe to unleash all 11 notches of power that they still managed to take down about half of the patrons.. It took until mid-way through the third set for the place to recover. Then it was on… The barriers that the management put up to keep the fans off the stage were pushed to their limits. A few die hard "Jurors" pushed through and made it up on stage. That's cool though. Our shows are very user interactive and the guys love you all so keep the games goin!!! Now onto Coppertop. Our Saturday night show at the Coppertop was simply stellar! Big shouts out to the bands faithful who came from all around. Including a few fans from Clinton! Also, Oakwoods subdivision was represented! Thanks to Shannon, Chuck, Geri for rockin out with us! We also had some other area rockers drop by for the fun and games. Huge props to Big on Blonds and Who Cares for coming out. We love you guys! Coppertop we see a great future with you and can't wait to come back for more!!! -Jury's Out via the Web dude. |
