Monday January 21st 2008 Beeeeeeeeeeeeep This has been a test. This has only been a test of the Jury's Out rockability system ( is that a word??? IT IS NOW. : ) So you are asking yourself… What is that all about? Let your pal the web dude tell ya!. You see the fellas and I had to develop a system.. a litmus test of sorts.. The boys had a tendency of showing up for a gig and leaving too many injured and wounded patrons in their wake. So we came up with a winner of an idea… So here's how the plan unfolded…. At Kam's on Sunday night they put the plan into action. During setup, as seems to happen too often, the joint couldn't handle the wattage, the voltage, the ampage, the rockage that Jury's Out brings and they brought down half of the bar. Pure power outage and ownage. During the power outage the boys triggered a mock "fire alarm" Imagine ten minutes of sheer pain. 200 decibels of high pitched screeching. The fellas scrambled around pretending to fix the source of the alarm. Finally after the unworthy split, the boys shut it off knowing that the hundreds that remained were truly ready and truly worthy for the 100% pure rock fury that is Jury's Out… They were half right. They hit the stage with such intensity thinking it was finally safe to unleash all 11 notches of power that they still managed to take down about half of the patrons.. It took until mid-way through the third set for the place to recover. Then it was on… The barriers that the management put up to keep the fans off the stage were pushed to their limits. A few die hard "Jurors" pushed through and made it up on stage. That's cool though. Our shows are very user interactive and the guys love you all so keep the games goin!!! Now onto Coppertop. Our Saturday night show at the Coppertop was simply stellar! Big shouts out to the bands faithful who came from all around. Including a few fans from Clinton! Also, Oakwoods subdivision was represented! Thanks to Shannon, Chuck, Geri for rockin out with us! We also had some other area rockers drop by for the fun and games. Huge props to Big on Blonds and Who Cares for coming out. We love you guys! Coppertop we see a great future with you and can't wait to come back for more!!! -Jury's Out via the Web dude. Monday January 14th 2008 Hello race fans! It's your friendly web dude with another update brought to you by the letter Z and Mountain Dew. Well the boys played another FANtastic show at Snappers. Dr. Dan showed why he is the baddest mo fo, low down around this town by flossing his teeth with his axe... If you weren't there, I sincerely hope you don't get that... If you were one of the many, well now you have one more story for the grandkids... This Saturday and Sunday you can catch a double feature! Your pals, Jury's Out will be lightin it up twice times!! They take the stage on Saturday at the Coppertop here in the big town, then on Sunday, yeah that's right SUNDAY the boys are heading to KAM'S in Champaign! Crikey! Can the U of I take the insanity they will bring? Watch your local news for updates... Bring bail money if you plan to attend either show.
Friday January 4th 2008 Hello once again! We closed out 2007 the best way we knew how. Rockin' Snappers with all of you! Thanks to Joe, all the staff and of course ALL OF YOU for making it the rockin-est New Years Eve EVER!!! Free snacks all night and champagne at 12 bells plus Jury's Out equals an unparalleled party. If you were there, you know. Coming up next on January 12th we are BACK at Snappers! If any of you have recovered from the New Years bash by then we will see you there!
Saturday, December 29th, 2007 Well it's done. Daddio's was awesome. We brought the ROCK - you brought yourselves.. It was a match made in heaven and all was right in the world. Thanks to those of you who came out and made our night-we hope we made yours! Next up is the granddaddy of all gigs. That right it's Snappers!!! Again!!! But this time NEW YEARS EVE STYLE! Be there and be prepared to rock your faces off to bring in 08 the way it should be. We know we'll see you there.
Tuesday, December 11th, 2007 We've got news. And it's huge. It might perhaps be the biggest news of a year that has already proven to be fantastically rock-worthy. Yes, we have big news. But first, a nod to the folks at Clayton's tap in Morris. We came to hang out and do what it is we like to do, and as usual were treated like rock royalty. Every time we play at Clayton's, they bring the party. We tried out a few new songs, had a fantastic time playing them, got some incredible feedback, and cheered for Sonya the Cybernaut (those who showed know). Dare we say the crowd was better than ever? Yes. We dare. So about that big news... Not right now. (Aren't we awful?) With Christmas coming up, we'd like to reveal a little item on our wish list that perhaps our fans can make happen for us. It would make our Christmas holiday for you guys to come out this Saturday to the Lake Road Inn, in Hudson. We've been in touch with ol' Saint Nick and he's promised to make an early delivery. The package? A sleigh-full of rock. So there you have it: this Saturday. Lake Road Inn. 9 PM. Hudson, Illinois. Sleigh-full of rock. Be there or it's a lump of coal for you. Since you've been so patient (or maybe you cheated and skipped to the end, tsk tsk), it's time for some big news. Nay, we feel the size and scope of this news merits a descriptor of enormous, no, ginormous. Friday, December 28th, Jury's Out takes the stage at Daddios in Bloomington. Daddios, you say? Yes, Daddios. And we need you. All of you. This is it, a call to arms. We're going to rock Daddios like it's never been rocked before. History in the making, you might say, and we want every one of you to be part of it! Sunday, November 11th, 2007 We don't know about you, but we've always believed that Halloween was a time for rocking out. They just go together like door-to-door solicitations and packs of wild ten-year-olds hopped up on truck-loads of chocolates, you know? And thus it was with rocking out as our first priority that we took the stage at Ric's in Gibson City on October 27th. If you weren't there, you missed boxed-awesomeness, as our regular drummer, Erik, was asked to step out for the night by none other than The King (The Burger King, that is). But for some reason (all of you), our shows just get better and better, because on November 3rd, we rocked even harder. Erik was back behind the drums that night as we rocked Snappers "like a hurricane" (if you were there, you get this). Both of these were awesome shows, and we love seeing you guys out there doing your thing. Then, yesterday, we brought some rock love to Champaign the likes of which they've never seen. Don't believe us? That means you weren't there. It was almost too much awesomeness to contain at one venue, but as always we pulled it off with a little help from our fans. We love you guys and you rock (and you know you do!). As usual, images snapped at all of our gigs can be found on the media page, so head over there now to see if your smiling mug is featured. So you're probably asking yourself: when do I get another fix of Jury's Out? Well, seeing as it's getting a bit cold, we're very aware that the time for truly rocking is upon us. We need to raise the temperature a little. So, short story long, you can get your next fix on December 8th, 2007 as we once again take to the stage at Clayton's Tap in Morris, Illinois. Bring your friends: we'll be kickin' off the good times at 8 PM. Monday, September 24th, 2007 For those who didn't get the memo, we had a slight schedule change and were called upon to play at the Jaycee's Beerfest, which was awesome. To those who caught the schedule change, thanks for coming out. You guys rocked and we had a blast all night long. To those who didn't, you can catch us in Clinton, Illinois on Friday, September 28th, 2007 at Snapper's. We kick off the shindig at 9 PM. As usual, we have pics from the show for your browsing entertainment. Should you want to see yourself in our gallery at an upcoming show, just seek out the photographer who's kind of hard to miss. Take a look at the new images here. Tuesday, September 11th, 2007 You guys keep getting better and better! The turnout at Clayton's Tap was insane! Every single show we see you guys comin' out and supporting us with everything you got. We just want to say thank you. The rock 'n roll was at full-blast and we've got the pics to prove it. When you view that gallery, however, you might notice something a little odd: there's not too many pics of us! It's you! All of you! Rockin'! With us! We know the rest of you guys want to get in on the fun. We don't blame you. For those who need their next fix of Jury's Out, head on over to Snapper's in Clinton, Illinois on Friday, September 28th, 2007. The insanity kicks off at 9 PM sharp! Don't miss it! Monday, August 27th, 2007 We came. We saw. We rocked. And so did you. Hot August Nights. Fitting name, because it was definitely a hot time on the old town that night. Thankfully, it was the event itself which fit the bill and not the weather. The latter was almost perfect, not too hot, not too cold. Perfect for drawing out a great audience, perfect for enjoying a great time, and perfect for rock. If you were one of the unlucky few who couldn't make it, we have a consolation prize in the form of gallery pics from the show. Although we have a feeling it'll be a bit more of a we-told-you-so than a consolation prize. Check 'em out. Our next show promises to rock even more as we take to the stage at Clayton's Tap in Morris, Illinois on Saturday, September 8th, 2007 for Cruise Night. We start rocking at 9 PM. We hope to see you there. Tuesday, August 21st, 2007 We have a new web site that we feel reflects the band's image a bit better than the old one. It seemed to be the right time, what with the phenominal support we get at all of our shows. Speaking of which, a big thanks goes out to all those who came to see us in Hudson at last weekend's Bash At The Lake. We had a lot of fun and the crowd was incredible. For those who didn't make it, for whatever reasons, we'll be rockin' out this weekend at Bloomington's Hot August Nights. The event, hosted in downtown Bloomington, Illinois, will start at 6 PM and last two hours. We'll be taking the stage right after Sister Groove and before Bottle of Justus. Both of which are fantastic bands that you won't want to miss. So again, this Saturday, August 25th, you're going to be busy. In Bloomington. Rockin' out with us! We hope to see you all there! |
